started as a small Real Estate company in March 2002 helping buyers
find land and houses in the town of Kandy and surrounding hills.
It wasn't long before we discovered we had an invaluable service
to offer, not only in finding suitable properties for buyers, but
also in helping our clients wade through the beaurocratic red tape
involved in buying property in Sri Lanka, and ensuring they got exactly
what they paid for.
Word
of mouth soon helped our reputation spread to other areas of the
Island. We now have agents in, Arugam Bay, Galle, Trincomalee, The
Cultural Triangle and The West Coast north of Negombo in order to
offer our buyers a comprehensive selection of properties and land
for sale island-wide. All our agents are locally based and so can
offer you a wealth of information on each area, and local contacts
you may need to help you settle in to your new home.
We
are also searching remote areas of the island for uniquely beautiful
properties for those who want to really 'get away from it all'. These
properties are not neccessarily listed on this site so please do
enquire directly.
We offer an invaluable service to anyone looking to buy land or a home
in Sri Lanka.
We will carry out an extensive search of the area you are looking in
and select the most suitable sites. Wherever possible we will carry
out a local authority search and inspect the deeds to ensure there
is a clear title to the property.
Only then will we drive you round and show you the selection we have
chosen for you.
Should you find a property you like we will then secure the best deal
we can on your behalf, introduce you to and liaise with solicitors
and surveyors. And should you want to build a house on the land you
have bought, we can help with project management, introduce architects
and supervise the whole building process through to completion.
In
order to cover as wide an area of the country as possible there
are some areas where the Lankarealestate.com team does not show
properties directly. In this instance we work jointly with dedicated
teams of independent local real estate agents. We rely on these
local agents to find and show you properties. However we work
for you, the buyers and will inform you in advance if this is
the case. Whilst all the agents we work with have been vetted
as thoroughly as possible by us, we are unable to take responsibility
for any agreement you may enter directly with them or with any
other third party.
